Extended Again: No More Clocks. Get Signed Up By Midnight July 29th.

Hey. Good news! We reached our goal, and ya also got yourself an extra couple of days to sign up for the reunion. Sunday, July 29th at midnight is the new cut-off time. That is firm firm firm.

We decided that it was important to make a memorial for our classmates that passed away. We collected eight hundred dollars in the span of about two hours on facebook, and we will use the money to buy engraved bricks for the Hellgate Courtyard. The students that have passed away are Teresa Johnsrud, JJ Johnson, Karl Hewitt, Shonda Eder, Aaron Likeric, Marsha Everett, Mike Northey, and Michelle Hudson. The bricks will read like this:

The reunion is really shaping up nicely. The Iron Horse is blocking off its parking lot and placing tables and chairs out there for 125 people. They're hiring a DJ to play 80's and 90's music from 8-11, and they might put a bar out there as well. We're not confined to that area; it's just a bit of extra space to party. On Saturday,there will be something like 120-140 classmates and their children at the picnic at Bonner Park, so that's going to be fun as well. 

In terms of where we stand now: As you can see, we have 111 registered guests for our party Saturday night. We messaged everyone on facebook in order to get an idea of what people's plans were for the reunion, and it looks like our numbers will settle out somewhere around 110-115 people for Saturday night's party. Yes, we started talking about this reunion a little over a year ago, and it's amazing how fast time has flown by. It's quite weird to be saying this, but you guys now have less than three days to get registered for the reunion. We hope you didn't put it off too long, and we hope you're still planning to come.

Folks, we sure hope you're not planning to totally surprise us with your presence at the reunion. It'll be great to see you all the same, but for a reunion like this, we need pretty exact numbers beforehand. In other words, you need to let us know you're coming. Why? Well, for instance, the caterer has to order the exact number of plates, napkins, knives, forks and water glasses in order to take care of us. They're not going to bring a lot of extras, and any extra they bring is actually paid for by us. We also need to set up the right amount of tables and chairs for the reunion, and we're hardly going to set up anything beyond the number of people who have registered and paid for the reunion.

We want to avoid any awkward situations where our classmates show up unexpectedly, and we cannot accomodate them. So, it's time to make a decision, and it's time to get registered for this thing. If you only plan on coming to the Iron Horse Mixer on Friday night, or the tour on Saturday morning, or the picnic by itself, you still need to let us know, so we can know what to expect. Thanks. One Month to Register

Dear Fellow Alums,

As you can see by our handy-dandy thermometer, we've been quite busy. Since the last post on May 22, we've had 45 people sign up for our reunion party on Saturday night. Nice work folks!

As you can see, we're at 68 people and counting. A few weeks ago, we messaged, called and texted as many people as we could in order to find out what people's plans are for the reunion. We got some good news: It looks like we can count on at least 115 people for the Saturday dinner/party. Yay!

Now, these are people who've definitively confirmed to us that they're coming and people that we're reasonably sure (based on information from sources close to them) will be signing up. There might be quite a few more than that, and that would be great. Our goal was 125 people, and it would be beyond sweet to hit our target. The fact is, things are looking good in terms of numbers, and the format of the reunion should be solid as long as...

You get signed up. There's only one month left. Why put off till tomorrow what you can do today? Thomas Jefferson wouldn't. We wouldn't. Why would you? Hey, we're gonna do it ----- if we put our minds to it. You know: DO IT, DO IT, DO IT, DO IT --- HELLGATE!

Our Goal for Saturday Night

Hiya,

Here's the goal team: We're shooting for a 125 people for the Saturday night dinner. As you can see, we're at 62 now (and trending upward). Don't get us wrong, if it's just us 62 together, then we're gonna have a good time, but we'd like to see a lot more old friends as well. Folks, we're the ones that have to make this happen. There is no secret slush fund saved up for the reunion. It's on us to come together and throw our own party.

Based on the early excitement around the reunion, it seemed to make sense to think we could get 125 grads and their dates down to Caras Park for a fun night. Perhaps we were wrong. Hey, we know you're busy. Heck, Casquilho is on the planning committee, and he hasn't even (Scratch that. He got unbusy) signed up yet---but he's gonna. Let's do it, or in the words of our cheerleaders:

"P-U-T-I-T-I-N    PUT--IT--IN!"

Greetings Fellow Alums,

Today is the 16th of May, and that means we have exactly two months left to get you registered for the reunion. Due to our ongoing good standing with PayPal, we can now take both online and mail-in registrations for the reunion up until the 16th of July.

Speaking of registering: If you are planning on coming to the reunion, you need to register beforehand, and it would be great if you registered as soon as possible--ideally within the next couple of weeks. When we planned the reunion, we made some assumptions about the number of people that we guessed would be attending, and we are highly interested to see whether or not those assumptions were correct.

In other words, if we don't get enough people signed up for the reunion, we'll have to make some changes to our plans. We don't wanna do that. You don't wanna do that, and John Chapman, who's flying in from Sweden, doesn't wanna do that, so let's get on it! Remember what Van Troxel said: Don't just win--Dominate!

Hey, we all like to spend money don't we? It makes us feel good. If you're having a rough day, and you need a little pick-me-up, why not do it now? Heck, it was so much fun for me the first time that I might even do it again.
